WHAT IS A WHITE PAPER?
A White Paper must address issues of problems or concerns of the readership and therefore be relevant to the intended audience. White Papers must concentrate on the interests of the readership and not focus on a specific product, service or solution. It must contain informative and persuasive information. White Papers should be around 12 pages or less (3000 and 4000 words). They can contain images, charts and illustrations to reinforce the content. The content must be original and any use of other sources of information (including text and images) must be acknowledged. Layout should support readability so break the content into readable / digestible chunks. Use headings, sub-headings and bullets to assist in maintaining the reader's attention. Include sidebars and callouts to summarise the content of sections of the paper.
