School Membership
itSMF Australia is proud to announce the introduction of itSMF School Membership.
Chairperson Kathryn Heaton has announced the creation of the School Membership program at the South Australia Q3 Seminar to an enthusiastic response from ITSM and education professionals.
itSMF Australia is committed to the goal of advancing IT Service Management throughout the wider community, and has recognised the demand for ITSM support in Australian schools after the introduction of the Federal Government's Digital Education Revolution scheme (DER).
The DER aims to contribute sustainable and meaningful change to teaching and learning in Australian schools by providing new computers and other ICT equipment for students in Years 9 to 12. The DER aims to achieve a computer to student ratio of 1:1 by deploying over 786,000 computers nationally by the end of 2011.
With this exponential growth in computer usage in Australian schools, Principals and IT staff increasingly need a framework and support to manage IT Services. itSMF School Membership will provide educators with access to IT Service Management best practices, resources, training and networking with ITSM professionals.
itSMF Australia Membership will provide Principals and IT staff with peace of mind when implementing these fundamental changes, and offers registered Primary and Secondary Schools access to itSMF membership from as little as $595 annually.
The itSMF School Membership level determines the number of seminar tickets included per quarter. For example, a School 5 includes 5 free tickets per quarter; a School 10 includes 10 free tickets per quarter, etc. Additional seminar tickets may be purchased at the discount member rate of $49 each for any contact listed on the membership. The individuals who utilise the seminar tickets may vary quarter to quarter, but the number of free tickets is set by the membership type.
A School account may include up to 200 contacts, but will always have only one primary contact. The primary contact is responsible for voting and managing your online account including, adding and removing contacts and changing address details.
