Membership Types

The itSMF Australia currently offers the following membership categories:

• Corporate

• Vendor

• Individual

• Student

• Guest

Corporate Membership

Corporate membership is designed for organisations that operate an internal IT function providing service to that organisation alone. Typically, there would be a discrete set of technology, processes and people involved - even if some or all of the day to day running is performed by and/or outsourced to a third party service provider.

An example might be a specific government department or site, a local authority, a small company or a subsidiary of a large organisation running its own IT services.

To cater for organisations of all sizes, itSMF Australia offers the following levels of Corporate Membership:

• Corporate 5

• Corporate 10

• Corporate 25

• Corporate 50

• Corporate 100

The Corporate level determines the number of free seminar tickets allocated per quarter.  For example, a Corporate 5 receives 20 free tickets per year; a Corporate 10 receives 40 free tickets, etc.  Additional seminar tickets may be purchased at the discount member rate of $41.05 each for any contact listed on the membership.  The individuals who utilise the seminar tickets may vary quarter to quarter, but the number of free tickets is set by the membership type.

A Corporate account may include up to 200 contacts, but will always have only one primary contact.  The primary contact is responsible for managing your online account including, adding and removing contacts and changing address details.

Vendor Membership

Vendor Membership is a prerequisite for any vendor wishing to utilise the Forum to promote their services to our members.  A core benefit is to give staff the opportunity to learn and network with members at one of our 28 annual seminars.  Vendors receive the same benefits as a Corporate Membership (see above benefits) and may engage in any of the following three membership types: 

Strategic Partner:  Partners make a commitment to the Forum indicating how they will provide member benefits through sponsorship and non sponsorship opportunities to include working with the Forum to help grow the services or information available to members, in-kind contributions such as hardware or software for the national office and/or shared research facilities and projects.   All Strategic Partner sponsorships are individually negotiated and confirmed at the beginning of each year.

Industry Associate:  Associates make regular sponsorship contributions to the conference or seminars, and provide input on an ad hoc basis for the promotion and operation of the Forum.

Casual:  Vendors who purchase sponsorship opportunities intermittently.

Individual Membership

Individual membership is suitable for independent consultants and people employed in an organisation that is not yet ready to embrace a department wide focus on implementing quality IT Service Management.

• First Year $218.90 (GST inclusive)
• Second and subsequent years $181.50 (GST inclusive)

Student Membership

itSMF offers full time students in an ITSM related course this membership with a discount for student status and benefits the same as the Individual membership.  Proof of current enrolment and course attendance is required.  Student membership is available for the length of the course only.

• Annual Rate $108.90 (GST inclusive)

Guest Membership

itSMF offers a Guest membership which allows users to view selected resources, purchase publications and book seminars tickets.  itSMF can easily upgrade a Guest to full membership if desired.  Click here to register as a Guest.

Guest Membership is suitable for those interested in ITSM but are not yet ready to make a full commitment to paid Membership, an opportunity to 'try before you buy'.
