Business Operations Manager, Greg Porter Greg Porter began his tenure as Business Operations Manager on January 27, 2010. Having worked in corporate IT departments in the 1980's and run his own software and business consultancy focused on customised administration systems for small-to-medium business. Greg has an understanding of the role of IT services play in enhancing business productivity. Recent appointments held by Greg include Operations Manager with mobile phone manufacture i-mate Asia Pacific and General Manager for the Australian Retailers Association and Hardware Association Victoria.

Member Services Manager, Barbara Hines Barbara is responsible for the management of all Member Services including events, sponsorship and marketing. She oversees the management of State Seminars, Special Interest Groups and the annual National Conference. With over 20 years' experience in marketing, events and membership management in government, corporate and not-for-profit sectors, Barbara brings broad knowledge to the Forum. As the General Manager for Membership & Events at the Clean Energy Council, she managed the membership amalgamation of two associations developing terms of reference, benefits, sponsorship, marketing collateral, invoicing procedures, as well as organised training seminars to help members understand the new Carbon Pollution Reduction and Emissions Trading Schemes. At the Retirement Village Association, Barbara managed membership, committees, state conferences and professional development as the Victorian Regional Manager driving a new partnership with AIM to successfully institute a Business Diploma in Village Management. As their National Conference Manager, Barbara added value by introducing trade shows, new sponsors and a formal awards dinner for the Manager of the Year program. In 2001 for three years, she was responsible for the success of large public festivals, Carols by Candlelight and arts events as Knox City Council's Events Manager, taught events management to community groups and project managed the Body Shop's national warehouse sale. While raising a family in New Zealand in the 1990s, Barbara worked as a senior public relations manager for Kraft, Innoxa and Perrier, and introduced customer communication newsletters in the marketing department of Price Waterhouse. Under her business banner, B-San Events, she has developed and managed several medical conferences over the years for hospitals and product suppliers, most recently for the TAG '09 (Technical Advances in Gastroenterology) at Monash Medical Centre. Originally from Washington D.C., Barbara designed fundraising and event programs for lobby and congressional election campaigns for 10 years, helped organise a presidential inauguration, managed the White House Office of TV, Radio & Film, and was seconded to various U.S. Embassy posts in Europe to organise diplomatic events for the U.S. Government. Barbara holds a bachelor degree in p.r./marketing and graduate diplomas in business and arts & event management. Administration & Finance Officer, Angelina Zylstra Angelina is responsible for all accounts payable and receivable, payroll, office management, travel and accommodation, and liaison with suppliers. Angelina has an extensive background in office administration and accounts management. She began her career at the Defence Department Pay Accounting Centre working for three years in registry, archives, reserve pay, overseas payments and IT programming. She also worked as a customer services officer with Kwika Airfreight for a few years. Moving to the family automotive business in the 80's, Angelina implemented IT and accounting systems and, after seven years, assumed management of the business for another eight years. She learned MYOB working for a CCTV security system importer; and audit, insurance, health & safety and contract procedures as a project & contract administrator for Downer Engineering working on the refurbishment of large city projects including hospitals, the MCG, MSAC, Southern Cross Station and the Grand Prix fitout. Angelina joined itSMF in 2007 and is an integral member of the team, efficiently managing the office, financial information and flow of paperwork involved in running the organisation. Publications & Marketing Officer, Bianca Reardon Bianca is responsible for all marketing administration, advertising sales, publications orders and our new Help Desk, where she cheerfully answers all enquiries. She liaises with graphics and assembles the itSMFA communication tools, 4ward Thinking and Bulletin. For national conference, Bianca books entertainment, manages acquisition of all speaker biographies, presentations and photos, and disseminates all conference communications. Bianca began her career in customer service for Knox City Shopping Centre and progressed to working as a casual for numerous retail companies. During her eight years in retail, Bianca worked her way up from a casual to store manager for Sportscraft, Portmans and Glassons. With her solid customer service focus and experience, Bianca is ideally suited to the sales and Help Desk roles. She can be contacted on bianca.reardon@itsmf.org.au. |
