This years Lead IT 2010 Conference was a great success, providing the opportunity for IT Service Management Practitioners and experts to expand their network and meet other like minded professionals. The quality of presentations was fantastic and the pre conference workshops provided an opportunity for delegates to get their hands dirty.

The HOT TOPIC panels were well received and will be a highlight of the program in Perth in 2011. The Hypothetical Panel with panel members from many different backgrounds including - Rob England The ITSkeptic, Brett Roberts from Business IQ, Joshua Brusse from HP, Rob Stroud from CA, and Karen Ferris from Macanta - Discussed "What does success look like? - How to Improve the Perception, Value and Practice of IT Service Management". This discussion linked in to the conference streams of Leading Business IT, Leading IT Sustainability, Leading People, Leading Governance, Leading Performance and was moderated by Peter Marshall.

Inspiration and motivation were provided by the moving story of Li Cunxin (Mao's Last Dancer), and delegates were treated to a fun arcade game night and Gala Dinner which included the IT Service Management Awards.

This year's conference also gave ITSM professionals the opportunity to keep up with the latest news via Twitter and LinkedIn.

International Whitepaper Competition Results

 

We would like to announce the winner of the inaugural International Whitepaper Competition.

The winner of the event is Ian MacDonald, a member of itSMF UK, with his whitepaper  

" A simple, low cost but innovative approach to end-to-end service reporting"

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who submitted their papers for consideration.  Our judging panel included a wide range of subject matter experts from locations around the globe, this unfortunately did cause some delays in the judging process, but we were very determined to make sure we made the right choice.  We received some very high quality entries and the final decision was not an easy one.
