National Conference Powers On
This year's Conference theme is "Power On" which reflects the constant challenge there is for IT organisations to do more with less at the same time as transitioning the role of IT from service provider to business enabler.
It is now more important than ever to understand the inherent power that resides within properly implemented ITSM programs. Power to reduce costs and improve the efficiency and performance of IT service delivery in alignment with business objectives.
There are a multitude of new initiatives for this Conference and many improvements based on feedback from past events which makes for a complete Conference experience with unprecedented value for money.
One of the significant new features of the Conference for 2009 is the diverse array of half and full day Training Sessions and Workshops. On Monday, 17 August - the day before the Conference begins - a separate program of half and full day Training Courses and Workshops is being conducted. This creates the opportunity for people to take an extra day and complete an accredited course as a valuable extension of the Conference experience.
Social Events have always been a highlight of itSMF Australia National Conferences and once again the excellent networking opportunities created through evening entertainment is available in 2009.
In addition to the 12th Annual Gala Dinner on the second night of the Conference (Wednesday, 19 August) the first day of the Conference will conclude with a premium wine, beer and cheese tasting program completed by great live music.
Some of the most exclusive wine producers and boutique cheese makers from the Hunter Valley region of NSW will be offering their produce while a world-renowned sommelier will guide delegates through a unique wine tasting experience.
Overall, the Conference is going to be a huge event, that no itSMF Members or other interested ITSM professional should miss. This year's Keynote Speaker's have been locked in with an excellent live up that reflects a more holistic approach to the interaction of IT Services with the rest of the business and the broader community.
The full programme is now completed and registrations are now open through the itSMFA Australia website. On top of the Keynote addresses and Special Guest Speaker's, it includes six separate Streams one of which is designed specifically for a C-level executive.
All of the major Sponsors have been locked in, however, there are still some Silver and Small Business Sponsorship opportunities available which will include access to space in the Expo Hall. If you are targeting IT executives and ITSM professionals with your marketing efforts, then this Conference represents a once per year opportunity to engage with delegates at the biggest IT Conference in Australia that is focused 100 per cent on the value and importance of IT Service Management programs.
