According to delegate feedback, the 2009 Conference & Exhibition was a resounding success with high praise for our Keynote Speakers, Workshops and Exhibition.  This shows that although numbers were understandably down this year to just over 450, more than ever, the itSMF Conference is leading IT Service Management education as the event to attend to learn about "Powering On" your business.

Feedback from Delegates and Sponsors indicates that positive tangible benefits were gained, with many eager to support the event next year.  A diverse section of people attended the Sydney event from CIO's to Service Level Managers with the largest representation from the IT, Government, Utilities and Education Sectors.  One fourth of the Delegates attended for the first time and most were itSMF Members from Australia complemented by International Delegates from the UK, USA and Singapore.  Numerous networking opportunities with fellow ITSM professionals delivered added value amongst the itSMF Australia Membership and broader ITSM community.

At the core of IT Service Management is the principle of delivering cost effective IT Services that continually benefit the business it serves.  The 2010 Conference will build on this idea to quickly deliver improved and sustainable IT services at less cost.

The 2010 Conference will be held in August at the new Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.  Superbly located in the heart of Melbourne, it is the first convention centre to be awarded a prestigious 6 Star Green Star environmental rating, certain to deliver the high levels of service and professionalism that both the itSMF and our Members demand at this prestigious event.

The theme for 2010 and the streams within it are being assembled now and will be released shortly to allow people to begin planning submission papers for what promises to be a fantastic  Conference in Melbourne!
