The Bulletin - Call for Articles

Posted By itSMF Australia Inc, Wednesday, 7 October 2015

Writing for the Bulletin

‘The Bulletin’ is the on-line magazine of itSMF Australia. It is now published 8 times a year and is highly regarded as the voice of the Service Management industry in Australia.

Contributions from members of the SM community are welcome and are a feature of the magazine.

In the recent editions these articles have covered topics such as ‘Big Picture’ analyses of our industry and the future of Service Management right through to snapshots of small scale implementations and what went well – and not so well.

We are flexible in regard to the length of articles and welcome substantial contributions of several thousand words as well as the more typical submission of around 1,200 words – Quality is the issue, not length.

In the coming edition we will feature an article on ‘How to Write a White Paper’ – a timely and useful addition to the industry’s collective knowledge of a fundamental communication strategy.

I would welcome an article on the pathway to certification for ITIL professionals – there is a significant gap in the understanding of many people about how best to gain their initial ITIL qualifications, and how then to further their professional development in the field.

I invite you to contact me if you'd like to contribute something about the journey to certification, if you've got a different service management story you'd like to share, or if there are particular topics you'd like us to cover in future Bulletins.

Don’t be too concerned about your own writing skills – I am happy to assist you with the actual production of the article; your enthusiasm and subject matter expertise will go a long way.

Please feel free to give me a call on 03 9879 5466 or by email at
