About itSMF International

itSMFA is part of a worldwide movement of ITSM professionals covering 50+ countries with over 15,000 members. All have as their primary focus the promotion of the business benefits of IT Service Management Best Practice and the adoption of these standards by the IT industry, as well as other non-IT related organisations that provide products and services to their customers. Global Structure/ Board of Management

The global aspects of itSMF are co-ordinated and driven by a Board of Management representing all national chapters and supported by an executive. This international Board meets annually.

In order to speed decision-making, a smaller Executive Board meets more frequently to drive matters of import forward, as well as conduct business by email, teleconference and net-meetings.

At the March executive board meeting, it was agreed to establish a separate legal entity for itSMF International to be registered in the UK. The business plan to support this effort is being finalised.
